Plot Summary: Sophie is the survivor of Nazi concentration camps, who has found a reason to live in Nathan, a sparkling if unsteady American Jew obsessed with the Holocaust. Students will analyze the movie Sophie's Choice and the book by William Styron. Topics that will be discussed will be the Holocaust and the panic that swept across America in the early years of WWII. Film terminology will be presented as they are demonstrated in the exhibition of the motion picture.
